In the Foundation Stage, key knowledge refers to the essential information and skills children need to make sense of the world and prepare for future learning. This knowledge is carefully developed through purposeful play, daily routines, and meaningful experiences. It is revisited and practised regularly, enabling children to remember and apply what they have learned across a variety of contexts. In doing so, children develop independence and enthusiasm for learning, ready for the next stage of their educational journey.
