S3 is a medical call center that specializes in outreach to Durable Medical Equipment (DME) patients. We are responsible for reaching out to DME patients in regards to their issued CPAP machines. We educate patients on what supplies they are due for per their insurance provider and create an order for those supplies.
What is a CPAP Machine?
A continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine is the most commonly prescribed device for treating sleep apnea disorders. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) causes interruptions or pauses in your breathing, often because your throat or airways briefly collapse or something temporarily blocks them. A CPAP machine sends a steady flow of oxygen into your nose and mouth as you sleep. This keeps your airways open and helps you breathe normally.

When we educate patients on what supplies they are due for, we are talking about a variety of CPAP items! These items vary from masks, headgear, tubing, filters, seals and more!
We contact our patients in a variety of ways, including live call, recorded IVR system, electronic communication and much more. However, our sleep coaches are mainly responsible for contacting patients via live call on both Inbound Lines(calls come in to the sleep coach) and Outbound Lines (coach calls the patients for a live call).
