VI. Data Analysis & Discussions

Data Analysis:

  • Data analysis. This section must show how your processed data (graphs or histograms) is being compared to the hypothesis. There should be highlighted points where they are similar and different.

The graph that we plotted based on the average of our 3 results shows the complete opposite of what our hypothesis predicted. At first, we thought that the line graph would go down as the angle relative to the top goes up. Instead, the exact opposite happened, with the voltage output increasing as the angle relative to the top increases, as represented by the red line.

  • Discussion: There should be some discussion on how the experimental data support or rejects the hypothesis or support it to a certain extent. Is there a modified theory behind this trend or behaviour?

So our theory is about the angle of light on the voltage output of the solar panel. We initially stated that if the angle of the light increases, the voltage output of the light decreases. However, the results of the experiment showed us that as the angle of light increases, the voltage output of the light also increases. Through this we learnt that the angle of light exponentially increases the voltage output of the solar panel. There has not been any modified theory for this trend/behaviour that is in our knowledge currently.
