I originally had several different ideas meant to allow me to both service the community and also do something that would be beneficial to myself such as doing something interesting to me or in my pathway. After narrowing down my options, I ended up re-making my karate dojo's handbook and helping with outreach for my robotics team.
For the karate handbook, I re-created our old handbook from 2012 from scratch. This allowed me to update information, find higher quality images of existing ones, re-format it, and make additions/changes to content. A notable addition made was the pronunciation guide which allowed me to help others in properly pronouncing terminology.
For the robotics outreach, I along with the rest of Team 10096 Those Guys from the First Tech Challenge hosted community outreach events at various places. We taught young children and adults alike about how our robot and competition worked as well as teaching them about STEM and why they should think about pursuing it.
