I was born and raised in Hong Kong and hold a PhD from The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), where I also earned my bachelor’s degree in Music Education. From an early age, I developed proficiency in a wide range of Chinese and Western musical instruments, including the zheng, dizi, ruan, erhu, piano, and flute, and actively performed in Chinese orchestras and symphonic bands.
During my undergraduate years, I served as a student conductor and composer for the Chinese orchestra and modern music ensemble, deepening my passion for music creation and leadership. In recent years, I have expanded my artistic practice to Cantonese operatic singing and have performed as an instrumental accompanist for Cantonese opera productions.
Currently, I work as a Part-time Guest Lecturer at EdUHK and as a Senior Research Assistant at the Xiqu and Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre, where I contribute to research and teaching that promote traditional performing arts and cultural heritage.
