Hi! My name is Zoe Wargin and I am a senior currently attending Rock Canyon High School. I am currently enrolled in AP Research, completing my second year of the AP Capstone program. I am passionate about raising awareness towards mental health, specifically in adolescents, which led me to complete my research regarding the evolution of coping mechanisms within popular teen movies.
Film is a crucial element in today's society that is constantly evolving. With newly developing TV series, movies, and more, teens are consistently exposed to new ideas and potentially harmful representations. Through this project, my hope is to learn more about film study developments, and the portrayals of healthy vs. unhealthy coping mechanisms portrayed by teens over time.
Outside of academics, I love being involved in school activities, whether that be on Rock Canyon's swim team or the Rock Canyon Echos Choir!
My family and friends mean the world to me. If I'm not with them, you can find me working out, swimming, reading, or traveling.
Above are some pictures of my incredible friends; the last picture is me and my friends at the AP Research symposium! Below are some photos are my amazing family!
