Hi, my name is Jessica, and I'm currently a senior in the AP Research class at Rock Canyon High School. I was born and raised in Colorado, and it has always been a dream of mine to own a dog. I have a turtle named Morgan, just recently adopted my dog, Minnie. Through the adoption process, I learned a lot about dogs and shelters, and that is what has inspired me to conduct my research on the adoption patterns of dogs in various animal shelters.

Outside of school you can usually find me in the pool. I've spent the last 10 years of my life in competitive swim and have some of my best friends there. Most of my free time is spent on swimming, but I've also dabbled in baking, knitting, and origami.
