The long road through research is finally complete and with it came a myriad of growth and knowledge learned. While I have been passionate about Egypt, temples and structures are something that had eluded me in my personal learning. Until my research project that is, when I was able to learn about a large variety of structures in the 18th dynasty. I learned about the purposes and design elements of temple structures in the 18th dynasty specifically though I would also learn how the structures featured slight variations as they evolved over time. This process also taught me many things on being able to format and present my own research and how to approach unique subjects for people who aren't knowledgeable in the field. Learning how to explain something I am familiar with in a way that is quick and also very understandable to a larger audience who are likely not as aware of the topic I am presenting on.
As a student, I found myself loving archaeology even though it was incredibly hard at times to sit down and push forward with data gathering at some points in this project. I definitely need to learn better pacing for myself as I was so excited at the start that I analyzed a lot of images quickly, this would inevitably result in a very strong case of burnout. My love for archaeology deepened despite this challenge though and I will be moving forward with studying archeology and anthropology next year at University of Colorado Boulder.
I would like to thank Ms. Dobos and Mr. McBride for their support and guidance throughout the year in this course. They did an excellent job at guiding students to the end and helping people through all the difficult moments in projects. I would also like to thank Julia and Rileigh for being wonderful and supportive classmates and friends this year and being so encouraging and helpful during all the tough moments in research.

Continuing on from AP Research I will continue studying and learning about archaeology and ancient cultures and would hope to be able to one day work actively in the field and help preserve and understand archaeology for future generations. I would love to specifically work with the preservation of artifacts from civilizations including ancient Egypt, the Scythian's, the Incas, the Pueblans, and more.
