Meet the researcher behind the project:
Hi! My name is Swatiswagatika Nayak, and I am a senior at Rock Canyon High School. I am committed to the University of Colorado Boulder, and I look forward to pursuing Aerospace Engineering there in the fall. I aspire to work at NASA's Jet Propulsion Labratory in the future and seek to contribute to expanding space exploration. Outside of school, I enjoy Astronomy, Singing, Photography, Arts and Crafts, and hanging out with my friends. My passion for Science has driven my Research project.
I have always been interested in how much there is to discover and study beyond our planet. Throughout my time at Rock Canyon, I have conducted various Research projects such as exploring a lack of individuality due to cookie cutter architecture and exploring how voting restrictions against African Americans continue to exist indirectly. This year, I wanted to incorporate my interests of space exploration into my research project and find a truly novel research scientific experiment. I am a data analysis researcher that needs to find scientific correlation between data to come to a valid conclusion. This researcher trait has played a huge part in making my project ideas and interests come to light and in finalizing my research methodology. I am a strong student in Math and Physics and my experience in taking these courses gave me a lot of insight while encountering problems within my project methodology.
