Bio

My name is Sophia Phillips, I'm 17, and I'm a senior at Rock Canyon High School.

I have taken up many different research topics during my time in high school. Most of them, however, fall under the umbrella of biology. My favorite project during AP Seminar was answering the question of how best to increase the supply of donor organs in the United States while keeping the risk of organ rejection as low as possible. My topic for this year stems from my interest in avian biology and evolution, especially in regards to migration patterns and how birds are able to keep fidelity to certain zones for their whole lives. I plan to continue doing research on different aspects of both human and animal biology throughout college and beyond.
