Vista's CSHS Mission

Learn and collaborate on coding projects, app developments, and software designs to prepare students (and our community) with concrete skills for the growing technological future.

PURPOSE

Help our community learn more CS by hosting seminars and volunteering to teach code
Work across other organizations to reach a wider audience
Make CS more accessible and easy to understand
Provide scholarship, internship, and volunteering opportunities
Give recognition to honor students

CORD REQUIREMENTS

Maintain 3.0 unweighted overall GPA
Maintain 3.5 unweighted GPA in Computer Science courses
Pay annual dues of $35
Good behavioral standing
Attend at least 6 of the 8 monthly meetings
Attend ONE guest speaker event
Obtain at least 5 hours of CS volunteering
Obtain 5 hours of outside volunteering, STEM-related
Compete in a coding competition throughout the school year (either given by CSHS or as a part of Hackathon, TSA, or Cyberpatiots)
