My name is Unnati Mishra, and I am a senior in the AP Capstone program at Rock Canyon High School.
I have always known I wanted to pursue a career in science, but it was my Intro to Biotechnology course during sophomore year that truly sparked my interest. My passion for research and its impact on everyday lives is what inspired my AP Research project.
Seeing how scientific discoveries translate into real-world innovations, especially in healthcare, led me to pursue biomedical engineering as my intended major. I am also motivated by a desire to contribute to solutions that improve global health, and I hope to eventually combine biomedical engineering with a minor in International Affairs to contribute to better healthcare equity on a global scale.
Outside of the lab, I enjoy reading, baking, hiking, and watching TV shows. I also love learning new languages and following Formula 1.
