Super Bowls and Violent Crime: Consequences of the Lombardi

This AP Research project seeks to uncover the relationship between the renowned American sporting event of the Super Bowl and fluctuations in crime as a result of the event. Fueled by a current gap in understanding between sports and crime, my research lends itself to future research on sourcing, confounding and particpating variables, and stakeholders. By understanding the relationship between Super Bowls and crime, local law enforcement agencies can work to implement prevention and deterrment methods to crime, safeguarding the livelihood and safety of the event across America.
