Hi! I am 16 and currently a senior at Rock Canyon. I am excited for being able to take AP Research this year with other great classes. I love to go explore new places and spend time with my friends and family. I have had a great interest in technology and medicine and am involved in a couple of extracurriculars pertaining to these areas. I hope to pursue Neuroscience with a focus on Pre-Med in college next year.
I am an analytical scientist. I have a preference for exactness, precision, and unambiguous situations. I rely mainly on logic and facts when performing tasks or making decisions. I tend to see science as an important factor in every aspect of thinking. Overall, I am very methodical and science-minded.
My preferred type of research methods include: experimental design, quasi-experimental design semiotics, trend analysis, and/or design-based research. These are based on statistics, observations, and experimentation, something I strive to accomplish when conducting research.
While my main academic focus has been on the sciences and medicine, I have always had a lingering interest in computer science and technology. I took AP Computer Science Principles and competed in CyberPatriot for a year. These two things sparked my interest in technology and pushed me to pursue this project. My aim is to also help older Americans and anyone else that may need it with computer security. Helping people is something that is an integral part of medicine; something I able to integrate into this project as well.
