Hello! My name is Haarika Donepudi. I am seventeen years old and currently a senior attending Rock Canyon High School. I love science, and I wish to pursue a career in medicine. My ultimate goal is to work as a pediatric general surgeon in the future due to my passion for working with children and helping people. In research, I am especially interested in adolescent development which ultimately caused me to develop this research regarding parasocial relationships. I have previously conducted research on the inhibitory advantages of bilingualism in children. I am working to expand on my research interests my working with individuals of varying age demographics.
Aside from my career aspirations, my hobbies include dance and ice skating. I am the president of the South Asian Student Association and a Colorado District Representative for the Health Occupations Students of America. My main strengths include my attention to detail and organization which is a beneficial quality for the quantitative research I will be collected through social media surveys. I find correlation studies especially interesting because they allow researchers to find relationships between variables to effectively draw conclusions.
