My name is Marabelle Cecil, and I am a senior at Rock Canyon High School located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I have always had a passion for science, specifically biology, since I was young. 

Last year, I conducted a DNA Sequencing project in the Biotechnology Experimental Design course with three other students. We swabbed various locations in our school's cafeteria for fungal mold and sequenced the DNA with the goal of better understanding Colorado's fungal biodiversity. 

I hope to study Biomedical science with an emphasis on Molecular and Cellular Biology.
