CLARKSTOWN HIGH SCHOOL NORTH

Criterion for Admission into the National Honor Society

The National Honor Society was founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.  According to this organization, a student must demonstrate outstanding performance in the four criteria of scholarship, leadership, character, and service.  Based on the scholarship criteria, students will be invited to a meeting in October or November to complete an information form.  If you are eligible to apply for the National Honor Society for the 2025-2026 school year (cumulative GPA of 92.00 or above), you will receive an invitation to join a Google Classroom in the Fall, and you will be invited to an information session about the application process.  Selection to the National Honor Society is a privilege, not a right. Students must provide the Faculty Council with the necessary information to support their candidacy for membership.
