Clarkstown North National Honor Society
CRITERA FOR ADMISSION INTO THE NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
The National Honor Society was founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. According to this organization, a student must demonstrate outstanding performance in the four criteria of scholarship, leadership, character and service. Based on the scholarship criteria, students will be invited to a meeting where they will fill out an information form in October or November. Selection to the National Honor Society is a privilege, not a right. Students must provide the Faculty Council with the necessary information to support their candidacy for membership.
Future Officers: If you are a current member and are interested in an officer role next year, click on the Home drop down menu to access the officer application. Applications are due early May.
Future Members: If you are eligible to apply for National Honor Society for the 2022-23 school year (cum. GPA of 92.00 or above), you will receive an invite to join a Google classroom in the Fall and you will be invited to an information session about the application process. To apply, you MUST have attended ONE of these sessions.
If you do not receive an invite to join our applicant Google classroom by November 1st, contact your guidance counselor to confirm GPA and then email mschuchman@ccsd.edu.
