All incoming 6th grade students are required to select a music class as part of their 6th grade schedule. Please complete one form for each 5th grade student in your family. At Brunswick Middle School, 6th grade students are required take a music class. In Brunswick City Schools, we strongly believe that students who have experience in performance-based music classes are more likely to stay engaged in school, have better pattern recognition skills, have improved motor skills, have better development of areas of the brain related to language and reasoning, and even score better on the SAT. For these reasons, we are committed to providing performance-based music education for every child.
