Educational Partner Engagement
An LCAP Partners Committee was established to revise the LCAP goals and actions. Over the course of many LCAP Partner Meetings (10/24/23, 11/29/23, 12/20/23, 1/16/24, 3/25/24, 4/22/24, 5/6/24) we provided several revised copies. A semi-final draft was presented to the partners on March 25, 2024 and slight adjustments were made (see "LCAP Engaging Educational Partners"). Goal 1 is now focused on all overall academic achievement, instead of just focused on mathematics based on review of the state priority areas and required metrics. Mathematics metrics will continue to be monitored, however, so will ELA and CAST within Goal 1: Academic Achievement. The following actions were moved to differently named actions with the new LCAP:
• 1.1 Communities of Practice (Data Conversations) and 1.2 Best First Instruction moved to the NEW 1.1 Instructional Practices
• 1.3 Intervention moved to the NEW 2.1 Intervention Services
• 1.5 Multi-Tiered Systems of Support is embedded throughout, however, mostly focused on in Goal 2: Supportive Systems Support
the NEW 2.1 Intervention Services
Our actions were revised to incorporate best practices and lessons learned from previous initiatives. These changes are expected to streamline our processes, reduce redundancies, and ultimately, drive more effective and efficient achievement of our objectives in the coming year. Our main focus area for 2024-2025 is listed under Goal 1.1Instructional Practices as Professional Learning Community (PLCs). Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are crucial for fostering collaborative growth and continuous improvement among educators. They provide a structured environment for sharing best practices, analyzing student data, and collectively solving problems, leading to enhanced teaching strategies and improved student outcomes. Through PLCs, educators can support each other in professional development, stay current with educational trends, and create a culture of accountability and excellence. In the 2024-2025 LCAP required metrics are associated with each action to assist in better analysis. For the 2024-2025 LCAP, we have streamlined our metrics by focusing solely on the required ones, ensuring that our efforts are concentrated on the most critical areas. This adjustment allows for more precise tracking of progress, reduces unnecessary data collection, and ensures that resources are allocated effectively to drive meaningful improvements.
