Dear Rincon Valley Parents and Guardians,
School closures cause an interruption to the continuity of student learning. This website is meant as a resource for you and your child(ren) while we are operating in a remote learning format.
Next to each resource you will see a link and applicable grade levels. Many of these resources can be accessed through Clever. For more information on how to access Clever, please click here. If your child does not know their login information for Clever, please email your child’s teacher directly. You can find all teacher emails by clicking here. Choose “school” and select your child’s school. Then click on “menu” and then on “staff.” At that point you should see all staff members and their email address.
It is also important to note this list is by no means exhaustive. This list is a curated selection of the tools that RVUSD feels can best support our students and are most closely aligned to our instructional program. You child's teacher may supplement this list with additional resources based on your child's needs.
Lastly it is the recommendation of RVUSD that when students are using internet at home it is done in public area of the house and that you discuss expectations with your child of their behavior online. Common Sense Media is a recommended resource to guide this conversation.
The tools below are called LMS (Learning Management System). This is your child's virtual classroom where they can view and turn in assignments, as well as take part in discussions and see announcements from their teacher. Google Classroom and See Saw are the platforms in our K-6 Program. Different teachers will be using different programs, so check with your teacher to see what program(s) will be used in your child's class.
In our 7-8 program, all students will be using Power School Learning.
Below are the primary instructional software programs in RVUSD. Many teachers use additional tools but here are some quick easy links to help understand and support young learners.
