Dear Rincon Valley Parents and Guardians,
School closures cause an interruption to the continuity of student learning. This website is meant as a resource for you and your child(ren) while schools are closed. It is very important for children to read and practice math skills daily in order for learning to continue, and we know parents want resources to help at home. Children should read at least 30 minutes a day and spend time practicing math skills regularly as well. None of this work will be graded or affect report cards.
Next to each resource you will see a link and applicable grade levels. Many of these resources can be accessed through Clever. For more information on how to access Clever, please click here. If your child does not know their login information for Clever, please email your child’s teacher directly. You can find all teacher emails by clicking here. Choose “school” and select your child’s school. Then click on “menu” and then on “staff.” At that point you should see all staff members and their email address.
It is also important to note this list is by no means exhaustive. This list is a curated selection of the tools that RVUSD feels can best support our students and are most closely aligned to our instructional program. You child's teacher may supplement this list with additional resources based on your child's need.
Lastly is is the recommendation of RVUSD that when students are using internet at home it is done in public area of the house and that you discuss expectations with your child of their behavior online. Common Sense Media is a recommended resource to guide this conversation.
