We are excited to invite you to participate in Rocky View Schools’ annual Battle of the Books! This year, we are planning a VIRTUAL BATTLE of the BOOKS scheduled for Spring 2024, at which school teams will compete in round robin style “battles” using an online platform.

School teams are made up of six participants from a mix of grades 3 through 5 students. Team members work collaboratively to read the 15 books selected before the battle day. The Battles are a mix of T/F and multiple-choice comprehension questions, that include “In which book…?”, “In the book …?”, and “Who is the author of…”.

The selected books range in a variety of genres, reading levels, and media formats, including audiobooks and e-books. Ultimately, our goal is to promote a love of reading and support literacy development.
