Language Arts Overview

In Grade 7 Language Arts, students will listen, speak, write, view and represent in order to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences. Students will do this through novel studies, short story writing, media study, film making, poetry, research papers and other work.

Our units will include the following broad areas of study (other units may be included as well):

• grammar

• research and essay writing

• digital storytelling

• short stories (parts of analyzing and writing)

• novel studies (small group and individual)

• poetry
