Hey there! My name is Aviva Courte, a student of CHS ROAMS who loves the outdoors, music and creative expression.
From a young age my family and I have been avid outdoors people. From skiing, to hiking and canoeing, I have grown up immersed in my beautiful surrondings, learning to find renewal and comfort in nature's embrace.
For me, music is a source of joy and inspiration that lights up my world. When I was young, my lofty goal in life was to become a bona fide rockstar. Well, fast forward to the present, and while I may not have reached rockstar status just yet, I've found my groove as an alto saxophonist in the CHS band program. You can catch me jamming out in the symphonic, concert, jazz, and pit bands, living out my slightly less glamorous, but still totally awesome musical dreams.
A huge part of my life is competetive dance. Since age 6, I have worked my way up to spending approximately 15 hours a week after school, September - June at the studio rehearsing and training in all genres of dance such as tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, and pointe. Aside from competitng, in the past two years I have traveled for training and preformance purposes. In spring of 2022 I went to Vancouver to train at Habour Dance Center, and in spring 2023 I went to Cancun, Mexico, preforming all over Bahia Principe's resort.
