My name is Jennifer Gold. I live with my husband and two handsome sons- Justin and Ethan! I got my Bachelors degree from Clemson University in South Carolina (Go Tigers!) in Elementary Education. I received my Masters degree from The College of New Jersey in Reading. I taught 3rd grade in Montgomery Township for 11 years then made a big decision to take a few years off to be home with my kids. I don't regret that decision for a minute because it eventually led me to Robbinsville!
I credit my older son Ethan for my love of STEAM, however I've always been into using the latest technology. When I taught 3rd grade, I was always the first to volunteer to test out new projects with our technology teacher. I also had self-taught myself to design websites and even had a side business of creating websites for teachers around the world- including a teacher in Australia!
While I was home during those years with my kids, my older son became interested in STEAM projects. He would get these STEAM crates called Kiwi Crates every month and we would do them together. Eventually he joined a group called the STEM Scouts and I volunteered as the leader. When my youngest son Justin went to kindergarten I knew that it was time for me to go back as well. I was so excited to have found the perfect job for me as the computer/STEAM teacher at Sharon Elementary School!
A little about me. My favorite flower is the sunflower! I love the beach and the pool in the summertime. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, painting, cooking, new experiences, learning, and technology! I LOVE working at Sharon School and sharing my enthusiasm for technology with your children every day!
