Dr. Roopashree S is a highly motivated and accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience spanning both academia and industry. With 7 years of specialized research expertise in computer science and engineering, she has achieved significant milestones in her academic journey. Dr. Roopashree earned her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, followed by a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering. She subsequently completed her Ph.D. in machine learning and computer vision at Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belagavi, India. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at RV Institute of Technology and Management in Bengaluru, India. Her career includes valuable stints as a software engineer and as an Assistant Professor at esteemed engineering institutions.

Dr. Roopashree is deeply committed to advancing research in the areas of computer vision, machine learning, and image processing. Additionally, she is dedicated to guiding students on projects that address societal challenges. Her innate self-motivation is complemented by strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills. Her impressive portfolio includes the recognition of four Indian patents and one Australian patent. Dr. Roopashree is an active Senior member of IEEE and a lifelong member of the Computer Society of India. She has also made significant contributions to academia through the publication of over 20 papers in peer-reviewed international scientific journals, along with three book chapters.

Dr. Roopashree research contributions extend to journals categorized as Q1, Q2, and Q3 in the SCIE Web of Science. She has presented her research findings at both national and international conferences, showcasing her ability to disseminate complex concepts effectively. Furthermore, she has diligently served as a reviewer for esteemed international SCIE journals, including Elsevier, Springer Nature, IEEE ACCESS, and IGI Global. Her dedication to peer review underscores her commitment to academic excellence.

Notably, Dr. Roopashree played a pivotal role in mentoring a team that secured the first place in the Smart India Hackathon 2020. Her constant motivation and guidance have been instrumental in driving student success across various projects, publications, and patents. Dr. Roopashree's passion extends beyond research, as she possesses a deep interest in teaching, hackathons, and multidisciplinary project development. Her diverse research interests encompass medicinal plants, machine learning, computer vision, deep learning, Internet of Things, and bioinformatics.
