Dr. Niharika P. Kumar is currently an Associate Professor in the department of Information Science and Engineering, R V Institute of Technology and Management. She holds a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from NIE, Mysuru (VTU University), M.Tech in Networking and Internet Engineering from SJCE, Mysuru (VTU University) and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. She has 18 years of experience in Academics and Research & Development.

Her research interest lies in the field of Computer and Wireless Networks, Data Science, Machine Learning. She has published 15 papers in International Journals, 6 papers in various International Conferences and published a book chapter in the domain of Wireless Communications and Networks. She has won the Best Paper award in the All India Paper Writing Competition on Emerging Research (PaCER) July 2020.

She is an IEEE reviewer and session chair for International Conferences. She has organized several hands-on workshops and webinars under the aegis of Computer Society of India (CSI) and is also a Life Member of CSI and Indian Society of Technical Education.
