General Instructions

Rules for Maintaining Laboratory Record

  1. Put your name, USN, and subject on the outside front cover of the record (Also put that same information on the first page inside).

  2. Update Table of Contents every time you start each new experiment or topic.

  3. Always use a Black or Blue Ballpoint pen and write neatly and clearly

  4. Start each new topic (experiment, notes, calculation, etc.) on a right-side (odd-numbered) page

  5. Obvious care should be taken to make it readable, even if you have bad handwriting

  6. Date to be written every page on the top right side corner

  7. On each right-side page, it should contain (Title of the experiment, Aim/Objectives, Components Required, Theory, Procedure described clearly in steps, Result)

  8. On each left side page (Circuit diagram, Tables / Pin diagrams, Graphs, Use labels and captions for figures and tables)

  9. Attach Graphs / Plots / Printouts of data as needed. Stick Graphs / Plots / Printouts (A4 Size)on the right side of the lab record

  10. Strictly follow and incorporate the instructions given by the Teacher/ Lab Instructor.

General Instructions :-

  1. Lab Batches will be allotted at the beginning of the semester.

  2. Every student has to perform the allotted experiment either in a group or individual as per the instructions given by concerned Faculty in-charge for lab.

  3. Bring the Empty Data Sheets, lab manual and record book to all the laboratory sessions for evaluation.

  4. All calculations pertaining to the experiment should be completed in the laboratory. The results must be submitted and obtain the exit signature from concerned Faculty in-charge before leaving the laboratory.

  5. The internal assessment marks of 40 marks will be awarded considering the continuous internal evaluation (CIE) in the laboratory and an internal test conducted at the end of the semester.

  6. The semester end examination (SEE) of the lab will be conducted for 100 marks and scaled down to 60 marks.
