Dr. M. S. Hema is a Professor and i/c Head  in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at RV Institute of Technology and Management (RVITM) with 27 years of academic experience. She holds a B.E. degree from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, an M.E. degree from Anna University, Chennai, and a Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

She has published over 79 research articles in reputed international journals and conferences, authored a book chapter, and written a book titled Cloud Computing for Modern Applications. She also holds four patents to her credit.

In recognition of her research contributions, Dr. Hema was awarded the Young Scientist Seed Money by the Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), Government of Karnataka, for the academic year 2016–17. She has served as a member of the Board of Studies (BoS) and Department Advisory Board (DAB) of autonomous institutions and has mentored several institutions for NBA and NAAC accreditation processes.

Dr. Hema is an active resource person for Faculty Development Programs and a reviewer for SCI-indexed international journals, including IJCCC, Sensor Review, and ISEKE. She has also served on technical program committees and has chaired and co-chaired sessions at several international conferences.
