Mrs. Roder has been the HS principal of Rock Valley Schools since 2009. She is a Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn graduate, and attended college at the University of Northern Iowa. She is married to her husband, Kelly, and they have four sons, Eric, Jackson, Alic, and Preston. Her passion is focused around students and them reaching their optimum potential as a Rock Valley student.
She became a principal because she loves students and loves learning. In the spring of 2025, Mrs. Roder was awarded the Iowa Secondary Principal of the Year Award.

My husband is Kelly, who farms and is self-employed in the fertizer business. I am the proud mom to Eric, wife Keely, and my grandson Scottie; Jackson, and girlfriend, Emma; Alic, and Preston, who lives in Oregon with his mom.
