Captured Movement
Acrylic Pour Paintings

Mrs. Daly's Studio in Art 8 class pd. 5
8th grade artists engaged in a mini-workshop on kinesthetic art for the principle of Movement. Students employed the flip-cup acrylic pouring technique. Using a choice color scheme of 3 colors and optional white on an 11x14” canvas board, students poured and moved paints prepared with a gloss pouring medium. The result is a unique painting, physically dictated by each artist. Driving conceptual inquiry: How can artists capture movement? This mini-workshop took place over the course of the 3 Challenge Days in January 2024.
