Mrs. Hemming
Ohio and national scholarships are on the scholarship link of my teacher website on high school page. Don’t forget that McWane and Cleveland Cliffs offer scholarships to employees’ children. See employer for info.
All scholarships beginning in January go through my room. DO NOT ask guidance for transcripts. Those are attached by me after I review all applications. Rounds 1, 2, and 3 are announced and posted.
If you are a user of Frontier Power, their members scholarship is now online under Frontier Power Youth Opportunities. It must be completed online and printed. Deadline to me is January 28. Only do pages 1 and 2 as I complete page 3. You need photo and teacher recommendation. If you live in another county, please find it on their website. Other counties have different due dates.
We will begin Dollars for Scholars in January. I will be doing orientation in periods 1, 3, 4, and 7 English classes and other orientations will be given to CCP students. I will post all times on Facebook and scholarship website. I will also do an all call. This is a point based scholarship so it is important that seniors attend orientation. Failure to do correctly results in reduction of points. I give them a booklet containing page by page instructions to guide them.
I have scholarship deadlines one week before they are actually due to the organization. This is so I can review and attach transcript.
