What is the Social Committee?

The Social Committee is a group of elected teachers from the RVATA Local. Committee members are elected for a minimum of a one year term.  There is no cap on the number of members on the committee and we are open for new members to join in planning events.

What does the Social Committee do?

The Social Committee is responsible for organizing and overseeing social engagement activities for RVS Local teachers. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Planning and overseeing various activities

•  New Teachers' Induction

•  Local sponsored events throughout the year

•  Assist in arranging other social activities as directed by the Executive Committee 

Past events include:

• Golf tournaments

• Year end teacher appreciation night

• Grey Eagle drive-in movie night

• Calgary Farmyard year end family event
