Library Overview
In order to promote literacy and the love of reading, Richmond Public Schools has pushed a new initiative: Library classes for preschoolers!
I look forward to partnering with families and community stakeholders to encourage and nurture the joy of literacy; Learning to read as well as reading to learn thus setting the foundation for our students' futures.
Preschool is REAL school!
Welcome to the Library!!!
About Me
I am Mrs. Addai-Mensah (ADD-DAY-MEN-SUH) and I am the librarian for all 5 Preschool Centers!
I have been teaching for 21 years and 8 of those have been as a Library Media Specialist or Library Teacher.
I love books and I love reading books to children.

Books don't self-destruct. They are destroyed. By people. By people specifically, I mean KIDS! Showcasing children of various ethnicities and abilities, A Book Is Like A Baby breaks the fourth wall by asking its reader to question how they should treat their favorite tiny humans using comparable examples of mistreated books. Filled with thought-provoking humor and engaging illustrations, A Book Is Like A Baby delivers its message to a global audience, making us all twice about tossing that book we've been reading across the room.
