Meet Your Teachers!

Ms. Meehan is originally from Alexandria, Virginia. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University's Art Education Program, with minors in Painting, Printmaking, and Art History. She has worked as a gallery assistant and curator, as well as a summer art camp manager. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and cat, biking and hiking outside, cooking, reading (books and comics), watching movies, and of course, making art! Mrs. Cooper was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She attended Adelphi University and Concordia University Portland. She holds a Bachelors of Fine Art in Art Education, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate in Education. Her Doctoral research explored the use of gamified technology in schools. Mrs. Cooper has worked professionally as an illustrator and concept artist. She currently lives in Powhatan, Virginia with her 2 dogs and 2 cats. She loves painting, cooking, gardening, podcasts, stand-up comedy and the theater. See some of her work below!
