9 Square - Basic Rules

• Square 1 is the entry square.

• The “King” or “Queen” of the Square is located in Square 9 and “serves” the ball into play.

• The ball cannot be thrown. It must be hit with a closed fist, “set” or “hit” like a volleyball.

• Double (or more) hits are not allowed, you will be out.

• If the ball drops in your square, you are out.

• If you hit the ball out of play, you are out.

• A player moves up a square only when a player in a higher numbered square is out.
