Will my child have math homework?

We do our homework pages in class so I can help them make corrections. Therefore, your child will not have daily homework. On rare occasions I may send a sheet home for some extra corrections/practice if we run out of time, but I will make it very clear if that is ever the case.

What can I do to help my child at home?

Spending 10 minutes three times a week practicing math facts will help immensely. I believe that fact practice should be fun! I will send home math fact games each month. You can also check the math games tab on our webpage for some fun websites.

What is Words Their Way?

It is our spelling program at RGS. Students will receive a new list each week. Please help your child practice these words using some of the Tic-Tac-Toe activities we sent home at the beginning of the year. Your child will be tested on their words every Friday.

Can I send in birthday treats?

Yes! The school does require all treats to be store bought with the food label so that we can check for allergies for students. Please let me know if you plan to send treats in so I can be sure to leave time during the day to enjoy them!

What if I have more questions?

Ask away! I am always here to help. Using email or the Remind app are the quickest ways to get ahold of me or you can call the school and I'll return your call as soon as possible. Do not ever hesitate to reach out! I am here to make this year a great one for you and your student.
