SAT, SAT, ACT & AP Information

Attention Juniors!

Please check carefully if the college you are considering requires standardized testing. 

Some Private Colleges are beginning to reinstate the SAT or ACT requirement effective this fall for applicants starting college in Fall 2025. 

A few of the colleges that have notified me of the update on standardized testing are listed below.

• Brown

• Caltech

• Dartmouth

• Georgetown

• Harvard

• MIT

• Yale

The University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) are not requiring applicants to submit SAT or ACT scores for making admission decisions.

UC eliminated its standardized test requirement in 2020.

PSAT 

Last Day to sign-up for PSAT is Sept 13, 2024

Testing Date @ STEM is Saturday, October 26, 2023, 8am-12pm

SAT DATES AND DEADLINES for the 2024-2025 testing year: 

SAT registration is open for the 2024-25 testing year. Many colleges consider SAT scores as part of their holistic admission and placement decisions, and your score is a valid way to show what you've learned. Most juniors take their first SAT in the spring, and many take it again in the fall of their senior year to improve their score. It can help you keep your college options open, demonstrate your unique strengths, and even qualify for scholarships.
