Welcome to Mr. Mejia's Physical Education class. This course is designed for students to participate in activities that will enhance physical fitness, physical skills, social cooperation, knowledge of human movement, and knowledge of anatomy and health. My goal is to get the best effort from the student on a daily basis through challenging, motivating and enjoyable activities. Physical Education is required by the state of California, and we will strive to have all students pass all of the standards with high marks.
I was born in Los Angeles, CA and moved to Moreno Valley, CA when I was 12. I attended Canyon Springs High School where I played varsity soccer. After high school, I attended RCC and later transferred to California State University - San Bernardino. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a minor in History from CSUSB. I began my teaching career in 2008 at Amelia Earhart Middle School, but came to Frank Augustus Miller Middle School in 2009 when the school opened. I earned my Masters degree from Concordia University Irvine in March 2016. I got married in July 2017, had my first child in March 2019 and second in June 2021. I enjoy participating in all sorts of physical activities including soccer, mountain biking, and swing dancing. I also enjoy driving my S2000, off-roading, and RC car racing.
