For simplicity, we will say a choice board or interactive playlist is a tool to give students a voice and choice of what activities they want to work on and when they want to do them, while challenging them with higher Depth of Knowledge exercises. Here is where the rubber meets the road! Whether you are creating a choice board or playlist, your activities need to be based on Webb's Depth of Knowledge (DOK) while being engaging and rigorous. You need to find interesting ways to get students to move from DOK Levels 1 and 2 into the DOK Levels 3 and 4. Choice boards and interactive playlists can do that!
