Student Learning Objectives are aligned to standards and data driven
SLO's require an academic focus and must be linked to an academic standard. The academic standard may not be in your content area. For example, a History Teacher whose focus is on identifying the main idea of a reading, can link to an ELA standard and utilize RUSD standards-aligned rubrics.
SLO's should be written to reflect growth in all students, and should be written as a SMART goal.
Data must be included to show growth and attainment of the SLO.
