Our roles

School support staff include a variety of staff members who provide specialized instructional support as well as support to students while they utilize school facilities. School support staff play an important role in ensuring students are learning in a safe and supportive learning environment.

School Social Worker

School Social Workers assist in modifying social, emotional and environmental factors affecting children's education. They comply with the state law in regards to child abuse, neglect and the importance of confidentiality. They address attendance issues (SART). They provide direct services to children and parents; they work with students on an individual and group basis on issues such as, anger management, problem-solving, decision making, social skills, self-esteem amongst many others. They are liaison between home, school and community. They work with all grade levels.

School Psychologist

Wisconsin School Psychologists Association, Inc.

School Psychologists are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students' ability to learn and teachers' ability to teach. School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments. They provide expertise in data analysis, assessment, school wide practices to promote learning, consultation/collaboration, academic and behavior interventions and more.


School Counselor

School Counselors promote student success, provide preventive services, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development for all students.

School counselors are an important part of the educational leadership team and provide valuable assistance to students regardless of whether they work in an elementary school or middle school, high school or beyond. They help all students, ensuring today's students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.
