The Department offers the students opportunities to develop their analytical skills necessary to understand contemporary social and political issues with special emphasis on contemporary challenges facing society in India and beyond with greater sensitivity.

The curriculum covers the core areas of Political Science (Political Theory, International Relations, Public Administration, the Constitutional Framework and Indian politics) and develops in depth understanding about various issues and questions of social and political human behavior.

The students will gain an in depth knowledge about the Indian Political Process, Political Theory ,Public Administration, International Relations, Political Thought and Politics in Modern Maharashtra.
The students will find the program useful for the preparation of different competitive examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and Maharashtra Public Service Commission and other career options.
