About Us
The Department of English, established in 1952, is one of the oldest departments in the college. Since then it has fostered a collaborative and engaging educational environment by developing critical thinking skills in students. The team of dedicated and innovative teachers constantly endeavors to upgrade their knowledge through research and by participating in Faculty Development Programmes.
The Department encourages its students to hone their language abilities, while enhancing their creative and academic proficiency. Our alumni are successful academics and professionals, occupying senior positions in diverse fields like teaching, research, mass media, entrepreneurship, television and theatre, event management, content development and corporates.
Add-on courses are offered, keeping in mind the needs of the students and the industry requirements. Combining academics with co- and extra-curricular activities, the Department ensures the holistic development of the students.
