Film Club was started in order to give students who possess a true passion for film the opportunity to view classic and modern works and to provide a venue for screening student-made films. We hold monthly and sometimes bi-monthly meetings in order to establish dates for Movie Nights, which invite the public to view a member-chosen movie in the auditorium. The club’s biggest event is hosting the annual RFH Film Festival each June. Presentations run throughout the day and student-made films are screened and judged in the afternoon. Club members are given priority for spots in the presentations. Other activities of the club include field trips to see movies and local film festivals and hosting speakers who work in the film industry. As the club grows, we are looking to expand into the arena of filmmaking, and hope to acquire equipment in order to give club member the opportunity to experiment with the film medium.

I grew up in Fair Haven and attended Rumson-Fair Haven High School. I have been teaching at RFH since 2005. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy running in the woods, hiking in the mountains, paddleboarding, reading, trying out new recipes, studying Spanish and spending time with my family.
