Simple, at Home Fine and Visual Motor Activities
· Puzzles
· Play doh- use silverware, cookie cutters, rolling pin, spatula, tongs, and other utensils you have on hand as well as encourage rolling balls/ropes and flattening the doh with hands
· Legos or Duplos
· Color/draw/trace/write/paint
· Mazes, word searches, picture finds
· Cut/paste activities
· String beads (or noodles or cheerios) onto string or pipe cleaners
· Use tongs or tweezers to sort pom poms or chex mix
· Cards or board games that include manipulation of items
Self-Care Practice:
· Dress self- socks, shoes, pants, shirt, coat, etc.
· Fasteners- zippers, tie shoes, buttons, snaps, clips, belts
· Toileting
· Wash hands
· Brush teeth
· Using silverware during eating
Sensory Activities:
· Make your own tactile bins- look up online for numerous neat ideas!
· Swinging, climbing, jumping
· Animal walks, wheelbarrow walks
· Joint compressions, massage, bear hugs
· Ride bike, scooter, go for walks/runs
· Help with daily activities- vacuum, carry laundry, wash dishes, stir dough, etc.
*Have realistic expectations and help your child when needed. Have fun!
