Rob Riesmeijer studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Groningen and is an SBP-alumnus. He also holds a Master of Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. In 2009, Rob started his career as a policy advisor at RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment. After that Rob was deputy director of the Dutch Covid-19 Vaccination Program and head of the Centre for Population Screening. The Centre directs and coordinates the eight national population screening programmes and the National Influenza Vaccination Programme.
At the moment Rob is working for the 'Algemene Bestuursdienst', which is a pool of managers that are available for interim management functions in ministries and other (national) governmental bodies.
By now, you should know that we like to mix up some fun stuff in the SBP mix. That's why we asked Stranger Things Have Happened to give a live improv comedy show for us at the SBP Conference.
Improv comedy involves scenes that are made up on the spot by the actors, usually inspired by suggestions taken from the audience. The result is a unique and fresh show that remains unpredictable for both the audience and the performers. Established in Groningen, the Netherlands, Stranger Things Have Happened has been performing English improv comedy since 2009, playing shows all over the country (and beyond) from small clubs to big theatres, as well as hosting their weekly pub jams.
On Thursday 2 July we have a network market planned. This network market offers a great opportunity to get to know companies that offer SBP careers. You can find your SBP internship, your first job or the next step in your career. For more info on the companies, please check out their websites (info will follow soon).
