Tanja Böllersen

Tanja obtained her BSc degree in Biochemistry with distinction at the University of Göttingen (Germany). She conducted her BSc thesis in the field of bioinorganic chemistry where she investigated 3d metal complexes as water oxidation catalysts. For her MSc degree in Chemistry, she moved to the Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany), and graduated with distinction. Her MSc project focused on the synthesis of corrole-based cobalt complexes as artificial enzyme cofactors.  As part of her PhD studies Tanja is working on methodology development for artificial metalloenzyme-based photocatalysis and the design of photoreactors for corresponding applications. In her free time, she pursues her passion for classical dressage with her two horses.
