Kevin studied Chemistry at the University of Oldenburg (Germany) and finished his MSc in 2021 with a stay abroad in the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain) for his master’s thesis, where he worked on thiosemicarbazone-based palladium metallodrugs in the group of Prof. Dr. A. Gomez Quiroga. For his PhD, Kevin returned to Oldenburg to join Prof. Dr. R. Beckhaus's group. There, he worked on titanium-based organometallic compounds for small molecule activation, designing Lewis-acidic catalysts, and developing drug delivery systems. After completing his PhD, Kevin joined the Roelfes group in 2025, focusing on designing Lewis-acidic artificial metalloenzymes using rare earth metal salts. Outside the lab, Kevin enjoys jogging, indoor cycling, music and watching movies.
