Bratislav obtained his BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry (2021) at the University of Belgrade (Serbia). Subsequently he moved to Switzerland as a scholar of the Alfred Werner Foundation to complete his MSc degree (2023) under the supervision of Prof. T.R. Ward at the University of Basel. His MSc research project was focused on repurposing thiamine-dependent enzymes towards novel gold-based artificial metalloenzymes. Bratislav joined the Roelfes group in August 2023 as a MSCA MetRaZymes PhD student to design new artificial metalloenzymes for radical biocatalysis.
